Artist Statement

My approach to choreography embraces self-reflection, honors lived experiences, and values connection.

Drawing upon my own experiences, I seek to develop a deeper understanding of myself and the world around me by exploring thoughts, questions, and ideas through improvisation and kinesthetic exploration.

As a choreographer and dance educator, I see my dancers as collaborators and encourage them to express their unique perspectives and kinesthetic understandings throughout the creative process.

This is a rehersal video of a piece I choreographed while I was studying aborad at Trinity Laban Conservatorie of Music and Dance in London, UK in 2020. I am so grateful for the opportunity to work with Poppy and Becky when creating this piece.
