Kara holds a 200-hour Registered Yoga Teacher certification in through Om Factory NYC, and a 100-hr Yin Yoga certification.

She teaches yoga in a variety of settings including children’s programs, local yoga studios, and private lessons.

Her background in yoga and interest in anatomy informs her approach to teaching dance technique and alignment, which embraces individuality and kinesthetic discovery.

What is Vinyasa and Yin Yoga?

  • Vinyasa Yoga

    Vinyasa yoga connects each pose or “asana” with the breath “pranayama”. Each movement and breath flows together seamlessly, connecting the mind and body to the present moment.

  • Yin Yoga

    Yin Yoga targets the deep, connective tissues in the body. Incorporating principles of traditional Chinese medicine, this practice consists of slow-moving poses that are held for 3-8 minutes.

  • YinYasa Yoga

    Combining princples of Vinyasa and Yin yoga, this practice begins with energizing movement sequences and closes with poses held for 3-8 minutes.
